The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed small scale amendment, PC 18-1, at its October 26, 2017, public hearing and recommended approval, recognizing the data and analysis submitted by the City of Dania Beach regarding affordable housing Policy 2.16.2 and subject to the applicant’s voluntary contribution of $500 per additional dwelling unit towards the City’s affordable housing programs (Vote of the Planning Council; Unanimous: 16-0; Blackwelder, Blattner, Brunson, Castillo, DiGiorgio, Ganz, Gomez, Good, Graham, Grosso, Rosenof, Rosenzweig, Seiler, Udine, Williams and Stermer), and also recommended approval, recognizing the data and analysis submitted by the City of Dania Beach regarding affordable housing Policy 2.16.2 and subject to the applicant’s voluntary contribution of $500 per additional dwelling unit towards the City’s affordable housing programs at its November 30, 2017, public hearing (Vote of the Planning Council; Unanimous: 14-0; Blackwelder, Blattner, Castillo, Ganz, Gomez, Good, Graham, Grosso, Rosenzweig, Ryan, Seiler, Udine, Williams and DiGiorgio).

Amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan - City of Dania Beach
From 6.7 acres of Low (5) Residential and 1.6 acres of Commerce to 8.3 acres of Irregular (23.74) Residential Approximately 8.3 acres; generally located on the north side of Stirling Road, between Lakeshore Drive and Southwest 28 Terrace.
