THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will assure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.
This plat, located on 27.8 acres on the east side of Powerline Road and north of Sample road, in the City of Deerfield Beach, is currently restricted to 104,400 square feet of flex industrial on Area “AC-1”; 46,875 square feet of office use and 13,422 square feet of commercial use on the remainder of Area “A”; 120,535 square feet of office use and 894-bed detention facility on the remainder of Area “C”; and Area “D” is restricted to a lake. The applicant is requesting to add 3,500 square feet of fast food restaurant and 6,000 square feet of bank use to the remainder of Area “A”. See attached Staff Report.
