Summary Explanation/Background
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL
NW 23rd Avenue is a County road located in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The City desires to install brick paver crosswalks at three locations within County right-of-way, in a north-south direction across the intersections of NW 23rd Avenue with NW 11th Street, NW 12th Court, and NW 13th Street. The revocable license agreement will allow the City to install six-foot-wide brick paver crosswalks within County right-of-way and will obligate the City to maintain them. The agreement also allows the County to terminate the agreement with or without cause at any time. If the agreement is terminated, the City must remove all improvements within the licensed right-of-way and restore the property. The City executed the agreement on October 5, 2016 and subsequently, provided all required documents to the County in July 2017 and this agreement is now ready for the Board of County Commissioners’ consideration.
The agreement has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney and the Risk Management Division.
