MOTION TO DISCUSS Solicitation T1247309B1, Temporary Debris Management Services. (Commissioner Wexler)

ACTION:  (T-12:30 PM)  Following discussion, the Board directed staff to resolve queries surrounding future tipping fees/pass-through costs and reimbursements from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) following an emergency event.  (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)

As Solicitation T1247309B1 will be opened during the summer recess, Bergeron Emergency Services has requested a discussion of specific items related to this bid prior to the recess.

Provides the Board of County Commissioners to determine a path forward.

On June 20, 2014, Bergeron Emergency Services distributed a letter to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) requesting a supplemental agenda item be placed on the June 24, 2014 meeting agenda to allow discussion of Solicitation T1247309B1, Temporary Debris Management Services. Since the BOCC is recessing for the summer after this meeting, and the bid opening will take place during the recess, the request was to discuss two specific items: Tipping Fees, and Price by Distance.

This agenda item serves only as a motion to discuss and to provide direction to Purchasing if necessary.
