MOTION TO ADOPT unanticipated revenue Resolution No. 2014-357 within the Petroleum Cleanup Fund 9973 for the Environmental Protection and Growth Management Department in the amount of $681,746.

In accordance with Broward County Code, Chapter 1, Broward County Board of County Commissioners' action is necessary to accept unanticipated revenue and to recognize it within the Petroleum Cleanup Fund 9973 of the Environmental Protection and Growth Management Department.

The action provides continued funding for the petroleum cleanup program in Broward County for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2014 and the first three quarters of Fiscal Year 2015.

The Board Approved Agreement No. S0479 between Broward County and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) on January 12, 2010 (Exhibit 1), for oversight of the cleanup of petroleum contaminated sites within Broward County, and authorized the agreement manager to execute annual Task Assignments.

On June 6, 2014, a copy of Task Assignment 6 (Exhibit 2) for $681,746 and for the period July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015, was received from FDEP.  Board approval is required to budget these funds (Exhibit 3).
