MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution No. 2014-351 directing the County Administrator to publish notice of a public hearing to be held on August 12, 2014, at 2:00 P.M., to consider transmittal to designated State review agencies of a proposed amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan text (PCT 14-3), regarding the City of Oakland Park Local Activity Center, as an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan. (Commission District 4)

It is necessary to schedule a public hearing of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners prior to transmittal of an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan.

The Resolution directs the County Administrator to set a public hearing for August 12, 2014, to consider transmittal of proposed Broward County Land Use Plan text amendment PCT 14-3, which is an amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan, to designated State review agencies pursuant to Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, as amended.

The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, will consider the following proposed text amendment, PCT 14-3, at its June 26, 2014, public hearing (Note: The Planning Council transmittal recommendation will be forwarded to the County Commission after the Planning Council's meeting on June 26, 2014):

Amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan text regarding the Oakland Park Local Activity Center, generally located south of Northeast 42 Street, north of Oakland Park Boulevard, west of Northeast 13 Avenue and east of Northeast 10 Avenue.
