MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution No. 2014-350 directing the County Administrator to publish notice of a public hearing to be held on August 12, 2014, at 2:00 P.M., to consider transmittal to designated State review agencies of a proposed amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan map (PC 14-8), located in the City of Plantation, as an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan. (Commission District 1)

VOTE: 9-0.

It is necessary to schedule a public hearing of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners prior to transmittal of an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan.

The Resolution directs the County Administrator to set a public hearing for August 12, 2014, to consider transmittal of proposed Broward County Land Use Plan map amendment PC 14-8, which is an amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan, to designated State review agencies pursuant to Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, as amended.

The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, will consider the following proposed amendment, PC 14-8, at its June 26, 2014, public hearing (Note: The Planning Council transmittal recommendation will be forwarded to the County Commission after the Planning Council's meeting on June 26, 2014):

From Industrial to Medium-High (25) Residential

Approximately 16.0 acres in Section 34, Township 49 South, Range 41 East; generally located on the northwest corner of Northwest 69 Avenue and West Sunrise Boulevard.
