MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution No. 2014-336 accepting a road easement executed by 1501 Developers, LLC for right-of-way located at the southwest corner of SW 4 Avenue and SW 15 Street in the City of Fort Lauderdale, at a nominal cost of $1 to Broward County. (Commission District 7)

Board of County Commissioners’ approval is required pursuant to Florida case law for conveyance of interest in property to Broward County.

Accepts public right-of-way at the southwest corner of SW 4 Avenue and SW 15 Street in the City of Fort Lauderdale.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL

The Resolution will convey a triangular-shaped parcel of land, measuring approximately 25 feet by 25 feet, from 1501 Developers, LLC to Broward County by road easement for inclusion into the SW 4 Avenue right-of-way. SW 4 Avenue is a County road located in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The parcel is located at the southwest corner of SW 4 Avenue and SW 15 Street. Acceptance of this road easement will provide the additional right-of-way necessary to improve sight distance at the intersection and facilitate the installation of future traffic control devices and pedestrian enhancements.
