MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution No. 2014-335 accepting a warranty deed executed by Holman Automotive, Inc. for right-of-way located along the west side of South Andrews Avenue, south of State Road 84, in the City of Fort Lauderdale, at a nominal cost of $10 to Broward County. (Commission District 7)

VOTE: 9-0.

Board of County Commissioners’ approval is required pursuant to Florida case law for conveyance of interest in property to Broward County.

Accepts public right-of-way along the west side of South Andrews Avenue, south of State Road 84, in the City of Fort Lauderdale.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL

The Resolution will convey a rectangular-shaped parcel of land, measuring approximately 3 feet by 717 feet, from Holman Automotive, Inc. to Broward County by warranty deed for inclusion into the South Andrews Avenue right-of-way. South Andrews Avenue is a County road located in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The parcel is located along the west side of South Andrews Avenue, south of State Road 84.  Acceptance of this warranty deed will provide the right-of-way necessary to meet Broward County Trafficways Plan requirements. The additional right-of-way acquired by this action will accommodate future multi-modal transportation improvements.
