On April 25, 2017, the Broward County Commission adopted a revision to the text of the Broward County Land Use Plan regarding the Pompano Beach East Activity Center ("East Transit Oriented Corridor"). The Broward County Land Use Plan required an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Pompano Beach and Broward County that provides for municipal monitoring of development activity and enforcement of permitted land use densities and intensities within the East Transit Oriented Corridor. The Interlocal Agreement between the City of Pompano Beach and Broward County implements the requirements of the Broward County Land Use Plan for the City's Transit Oriented Corridor.
This item was prepared by the Office of the County Attorney, at the request of the Broward County Planning Council and the City of Pompano Beach, as a result of the Broward County Land Use Plan text amendment designating the East Transit Oriented Corridor.
