ACTION:  (T-10:27 AM)  Approved per staff's recommendations as outlined in the Yellow-Sheeted Additional Material, dated May 13, 2014, submitted at the request of Environmental Protection and Growth Management Department.

VOTE:  9-0.
Why Action is Necessary
Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances (The Broward County Land Development Code) requires changes to previously approved or recorded plats to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

Summary Explanation/ Background
THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE PLANNING AND REDEVELOPMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND DENIAL of this request, as the proposed high-rise units do not comply with Section 5-180(a)(3) of the Broward County Land Development code regarding consistency with the effective Land Use Plan. See attached Staff Report.
