MOTION TO DESIGNATE:

A. Commissioner Martin David Kiar as the Broward County Board of County Commissioners’ (BCBCC) representative to the Broward League of Cities (BLOC) Board of Directors;

VOTE: 8-0. Commissioner Kiar was not present.

B. Commissioner Lois Wexler as the BCBCC alternate representative to the BLOC; and

C. Commissioner Dale Holness as the BCBCC second alternate to the BLOC. (Mayor Sharief)

The Board of County Commissioners must formally adopt designees and alternates to the Broward League of Cities Board of Directors.

Assures county commissioners are actively participating in the BLOC.

The terms of BCBCC appointments to the BLOC run for one year and expire on the date of the installation dinner. Therefore, a county commissioner and two alternate designees are being appointed to serve on the BLOC’s Board of Directors, effective May 10, 2014, through the date of the next installation dinner in 2015.
