Board of County Commissioners’ approval is required pursuant to Florida case law for conveyance of interest in property to Broward County.

Summary Explanation/ Background
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL
 
The Resolution will convey an irregularly-shaped parcel of land, measuring approximately 10 feet by 250 feet, from CAMM Educational Enterprises, Inc. to Broward County by road easement for inclusion into the NW 7 Avenue right-of-way. NW 7 Avenue is a County road located in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The parcel is located along the east side of NW 7 Avenue between West Broward Boulevard and NW 2 Street. Acceptance of this road easement will provide the right-of-way necessary to meet Broward County Trafficways Plan requirements. The additional right-of-way will improve sight distance at the intersection and facilitate the installation of future traffic control devices and pedestrian enhancements.
