On December 11, 2018, the Board amended the Living Wage Ordinance to increase the hourly wage for all covered employees to $13.27 per hour with health care benefits, and $13.27 per hour plus an additional $1.63 per hour without health benefits. On January 8, 2019, the Board held a workshop to discuss an increase to the monetary amount of the health care benefit.
The proposed amendment to the Living Wage Ordinance would provide for the health care benefit amount to remain at $1.63 per hour for 2019. In 2020, the health care benefit amount would be indexed as provided for in the Living Wage Ordinance.
Commencing January 1, 2021, the health care benefit amount would increase to $3.44 per hour.
