MOTION TO CONSIDER enactment of an Ordinance, the title of which is as follows:
 
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO ZONING; AMENDING SECTION 39-275 OF THE BROWARD COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES ("CODE"); PROVIDING SOLID WASTE STORAGE REQUIREMENTS FOR RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

A Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish notice of public hearing to consider enactment of the Ordinance was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners at its meeting of January 8, 2019.

Amends the Broward County Code of Ordinances to provide solid waste storage requirements for residential properties.

Section 39-275(6) of the Broward Code of Ordinances ("Code") regulates the placement of trash cans, bulk trash, and yard waste for collection in the Broward Municipal Services District ("BMSD"). This Code revision provides additional requirements for the storage of solid waste receptacles. The additional provisions will allow for enhanced enforcement to address illegal dumping of solid waste in BMSD neighborhoods.
