THE WATER AND WASTEWATER SERVICES/PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AND AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This actions amends the Agreement by modifying the scope of work to include additional services, to upgrade the Software and purchase software licenses and related services, to extend the Agreement for up to five additional one-year periods, and to increase the total not-to-exceed amount for WWS, Public Works Department and BCAD.
On May 8, 2014, the Director of Purchasing executed the Software License, Maintenance, and Support Agreement between Broward County and DataSplice, LLC, for licensed software, implementation services, and support and maintenance for WWS, Public Works Department. BCAD requested from WWS the ability to use this contract. As part of BCAD’s Maximo implementation, the Software will be deployed with eSAM workflows, work types, and data structure development.
The proposed First Amendment will add the licenses and optional services to implement the Software as a part of the Maximo asset management solution, as the Software extends the functionality of Maximo into a portable mobile solution. Specifically, BCAD will be implementing the Work Management mobile solution, the Federal Aviation Administration Part 139 Compliance airfield inspection mobile solution, and will be integrating GIS into the Airfield Inspection Application using the DataSplice Mobile tool. In addition, the proposed First Amendment adds optional services for BCAD to work directly with DataSplice to use this contract to purchase similar software licenses, professional services, and support and maintenance services for future upgrades as needed.
The proposed First Amendment also adds scope of work for WWS to upgrade the Software to the most current version, integrate ESRI GIS with Maximo Mobile Work Orders, implement the Forms and Asset modules, implement bar code readers for generators, and replace the warehouse paper work order requisitions with a paperless system.
The proposed First Amendment further adds five additional optional one-year renewal terms (for a new total of seven additional optional one-year renewal terms) to be exercised by the Director of Purchasing. Also, the First Amendment increases the total not-to-exceed amount by $1,427,939 for a new total not-to-exceed amount of $1,604,600, which includes Optional Services, licensed software, related implementation services, training, and support and maintenance services.
The proposed First Amendment has been reviewed and approved by the Office of the County Attorney.
