MOTION TO AUTHORIZE County Administrator to correct any non-substantive scrivener’s errors in Item 33 from the Board meeting on December 12, 2017, Unrepresented Pay Plan and Compensation Policy.

VOTE:  8-0.  Commissioner Geller was not present. 

Sections 14.27, 14.28, 14.37, and 14.38 of the Broward County Administrative Code establish that Board approval is required for amendment of the Classification and Pay Plans.

Corrects non-substantive scrivener’s errors in Item 33 from the Board meeting on December 12, 2017, Unrepresented Pay Plan and Compensation Policy.

On December 12, 2017 (Item No. 33), the Board approved the Unrepresented Pay Plan and Compensation Policy.

THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

On December 12, 2017 (Item 33), the Board approved the Unrepresented Pay Plan and Compensation Policy for Fiscal Year 2018 (Motion A), and classification actions necessary to pro-actively maintain Broward County’s Classification and Pay Plans (Motion B). Subsequent to that approval, staff discovered non-substantive scrivener’s errors which are outlined in Exhibit 1 to this item. This item authorizes the County Administrator to correct any non-substantive scrivener’s errors related to Item 33 of the December 12, 2017 meeting.
