On April 22, 2016, a Broward County Transit bus was traveling southbound on Coral Ridge Drive, approaching the intersection of Riverside Drive in Coral Springs. The bus operator attempted to make a u-turn to continue northbound on Coral Ridge Drive and allegedly lost control of the bus. The claimant, traveling southbound on Coral Ridge Drive, alleges that the bus operator struck the left front and rear of their vehicle. The claimant sustained injuries to the neck, back, and left ribs, and has incurred $26,787 in medical bills. The claimant has $10,000 Personal Injury Protection coverage with GEICO and has no known health insurance.
