MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution No. 2019-301 accepting two utility and access easements located at 6601 Southgate Boulevard in Tamarac from the City of Tamarac at no cost to the County; and authorize recordation of same. (Commission District 3)

Why Action is Necessary
Board of County Commissioners' approval is required to accept an interest in real property pursuant to Broward County Administrative Code, Section 6.23.
What Action Accomplishes
Provides Broward County with utility and access easements on, over, under, across, and through a portion of the property for the installation of (i) sewage flow meter  and (ii) wastewater pipes over property owned by the City of Tamarac as part of the Regional Master Meter Improvements for Broward County Water and Wastewater Services Project 9232-100955.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION/REAL PROPERTY SECTION AND WATER AND WASTEWATER SERVICES RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

Water and Wastewater Services desires two easements as part of the Broward County Water and Wastewater Services Capital Project 9232-100955 Regional Master Meter Improvements. The project requires the installation of a sewage flow meter and underground wastewater pipes that will serve Tamarac and provide for monitoring and recording of the volume of sewage received from the City. The City of Tamarac is willing to grant the County the needed easements over city-owned property located at 6601 Southgate Boulevard in Tamarac and identified by Folio Number 4841-34-00-0023. The easement area for the sewage flow meter is approximately 781 square feet and the easement area for the two wastewater pipes is approximately 736 square feet and 746 square feet, respectively.

All documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
