MOTION TO CONSIDER APPROVAL of a plat note amendment to the Fort Lauderdale Sludge Plant (015-UP-83). (Commission District 7) (Deferred from May 21, 2019 - Item No. 35)

ACTION:  (T-10:51 AM)  Approved the plat subject to staff’s recommendations as outlined in the Development Review Report.

VOTE: 9-0.  Vice-Mayor Holness voted in the affirmative telephonically.

Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances (The Broward County Land Development Code) requires changes to previously approved or recorded plats to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

Approves a plat note amendment subject to staff recommendations and conditions assuring compliance with the standards and requirements of the Broward County Land Development Code.

THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will assure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

This plat is located on 28.5 acres on the east side of State Road 7, between Griffin Road and I-595, in the City of Dania Beach. The plat has notes restricting the use to a sludge plant and Parcel B to urban wilderness/wetland enhancement area. The applicant is requesting to amend the plat note on Parcel A from sludge plant to 350,000 square feet of industrial use. Parcel B remains unchanged. See attached Staff Report.
