MOTION TO APPROVE international travel to Toronto, Canada from September 9-13, 2019, for one County employee, from the Environmental Protection and Growth Management Department, to attend the National Association of City Transportation Officials, Designing Cities Conference 2019 Toronto.

ACTION:  (T-10:51 AM)  Approved.

VOTE: 9-0.  Vice-Mayor Holness voted in the affirmative telephonically.

Board approval is required for travel outside of the continental United States.

Provides approval needed for compliance with the Administrative Code, County Employee Travel, Section 3.10.

THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT, THE ACCOUNTING DIVISION, AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT RECOMMEND THE APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

Attached is a request for one County employee from the Environmental Protection and Growth Management Department to travel to Toronto, Canada to attend the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO), Designing Cities Conference 2019.

The National Association of City Transportation Officials, Designing Cities Conference brings together 900 officials, planners, and practitioners to advance the state of transportation in cities. NACTO's mission is to build cities as places for people with safe, sustainable, accessible, and equitable transportation choices that support a strong economy and vibrant quality of life.
