Broward County Commission Regular Meeting

MOTION TO ENACT Ordinance adopting a Small Scale land use plan amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan, PC 19-3, in the City of Miramar, to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan (Commission District 8), the substance of which is as follows:

AN ORDINANCE OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A SMALL SCALE AMENDMENT TO THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; AMENDING THE BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN WITHIN THE CITY OF MIRAMAR; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

ACTION:  (T-2:00 PM)  Filed proof of publication and enacted the Ordinance to become effective as provided by law.  (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)

VOTE: 8-0.  Commissioner Sharief was not present.

Pursuant to Section 163.3184(11), Florida Statutes, as amended, Broward County Comprehensive Plan amendments shall be adopted by Ordinance by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, serving as the local governing body.

The Ordinance adopts Broward County "Small Scale" Land Use Plan map amendment PC 19-3, in accordance with Section 163.3187(1), Florida Statutes, as amended.

The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed small scale amendment, PC 19-3, at its April 25, 2019, public hearing and recommended approval including not requiring a second Planning Council public hearing (Vote of the Planning Council; 16-0; Blattner, Breslau, Brunson, Castillo, DiGiorgio, Good, Graham, Grosso, Hardin, Parness, Railey, Rich, Rosenof, Ryan, Williams and Stermer):

AMENDMENT PC 19-3
Amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan - City of Miramar

From Community to Commerce.

Approximately 4.0 acres; generally located on the north side of Miramar Parkway, west of Douglas Road.
