MOTION TO APPROVE Easement granting Florida Power & Light Company a perpetual, non-exclusive underground utility easement on a portion of County-owned property located at 2021 Eller Drive in Hollywood for installation of electrical power to Cruise Terminal 25; authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute the easement; and authorize recordation of same. Board of County Commissioners' approval is required to grant an interest in real property pursuant to Broward County Administrative Code, Section 6.23.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION/REAL PROPERTY SECTION AND PORT EVERGLADES DEPARTMENT RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

Port Everglades’ Cruise Terminal 25 is located at 2021 Eller Drive in Hollywood and identified as Folio Number 5042-24-05-0010. As part of its renovation, the County needs to grant Florida Power & Light Company a perpetual, non-exclusive underground utility easement to allow the installation of electrical power to Cruise Terminal 25. It is normal and customary for installation of new utility lines to meet the design criteria for renovations.

All documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
