MOTION TO APPROVE appointment of Lee Ghezzi to the Homeless Continuum of Care (HCOC) Board.

ACTION:  (T-11:16 AM)  Approved.

VOTE:  8-0.  Commissioner Sharief was not present.

Board approval is required to fill vacancies on the HCOC.

THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS/BOARDS SECTION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM.

The Homeless Continuum of Care Board (HCOC) is composed of 30 voting/nonvoting members, including 19 members who are nominated by specific entities for approval by the Board of County Commissioners. One voting member category provides for a South Broward Hospital District representative to serve on the HCOC. Additionally, a representative from the Corrections/Law Enforcement of the City of Hollywood also serves on the HCOC.

The following nomination has been received by the Human Services Department (HSD) for appointment to the HCOC pursuant to Section 12.153(a)4, Broward County Administrative Code:

Lee Ghezzi nominated as the North Broward Hospital District Representative.

Mr. Ghezzi was nominated by the North Broward Hospital District to serve on the HCOC on May 6, 2019. The County Attorney has determined that Mr. Ghezzi qualifies for appointment (Exhibit 1).
