MOTION TO ADOPT budget Resolution No. 2019-289 transferring budgets within the Transit Non-Grant Capital Fund in the total amount $165,000 for budgeting the renovation of GCW 2nd Floor to relocate the Paratransit Department.

ACTION:  (T-11:16 AM)  Approved.

VOTE:  8-0.  Commissioner Sharief was not present.

Board approval is required to transfer funds to create a project budget over $25,000.

Amends the budgets within the Fiscal Year 2019 Transit Non-Grant Capital Funds for Transit construction projects.

THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT/TRANSIT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

The Transit Division (BCT) is requesting approval to transfer funds from budgeted bus capital within the Division's non-grant capital fund (transportation concurrency) in order to fund the office renovation costs of relocation of  BCT's Paratransit team to forward facing counter customer service and office space on the 2nd floor of Government Center West in the City of Plantation.

The scope of work for this project includes the renovation of approximately 3,000 SF in interior office space, build-out to create a new office, modification of the existing transaction counters to provide added security, additions to and relocation of existing fire sprinkler heads, modifications to the lighting and HVAC system update interior finishes and reconfiguration/replacement of the existing furniture.

The total project cost for the renovation is estimated at $165,000.
