Broward County Commission Regular Meeting

MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution No. 2019-278 directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on June 4, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., to consider enactment of an Ordinance adopting a Small Scale land use plan amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan of the Broward County Comprehensive Plan, PC 19-3, located in the City of Miramar (Commission District 8), the substance of which is as follows:

AN ORDINANCE OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A SMALL SCALE AMENDMENT TO THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; AMENDING THE BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN WITHIN THE CITY OF MIRAMAR; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

ACTION:  (T-10:33 AM)  Approved.

VOTE:  9-0.

It is necessary to schedule a public hearing of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners to be held subsequent to receipt of a recommendation from the Broward County Planning Council prior to adoption of an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan.

The Resolution directs the County Administrator to set a public hearing for June 4, 2019, to consider adoption of proposed Broward County Land Use Plan map amendment PC 19-3, which is a small scale amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan.

The Planning Council, as the Local Planning Agency (LPA) responsible for the Broward County Land Use Plan, considered the following proposed small scale amendment, PC 19-3, at its April 25, 2019, public hearing and recommended approval, including no second Planning Council public hearing (Vote of the Planning Council; Unanimous: 16-0; Blattner, Breslau, Brunson, Castillo, DiGiorgio, Good, Graham, Grosso, Hardin, Parness, Railey, Rich, Rosenof, Ryan, Williams and Stermer).

Approximately 4.0 acres; generally located on the north side of Miramar Parkway, west of Douglas Road.
