THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS/BOARDS SECTION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM.

The Children's Services Board (CSB) is comprised of 20 members appointed by the Broward County Commission. The Superintendent of the School Board of Broward County (School Board) or his/her designee is one of the six organizations that nominates a member to be appointed by the County Commission.

The following nomination has been received by the Human Services Department (HSD) for appointment to the CSB pursuant to Section 1-485, Broward County Code:

Antoine Hickman as the designee of the Superintendent of the School Board of Broward County.

Mr. Hickman was nominated by the School Board to serve on the CSB on April 16, 2019. The County Attorney has determined that Mr. Hickman qualifies for appointment (Exhibit 1).
