On February 28, 2017, the Broward County and the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit entered into an Agreement whereby County provided funds to subsidize the cost to the program for participants in Misdemeanor Drug Court Program. On September 26, 2018, the First Amendment to the Agreement was approved pursuant to which unspent allocated funds would be transferred into subsequent fiscal years until the allocated funds are spent. The Second Amendment (Exhibit No. 1), at the request of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit, would amend Exhibit A to the Agreement to provide that program participants need only attend one class instead of the previously mandated two classes.
