MOTION TO CONSIDER APPROVAL of a modification to conditions of plat approval and waiver of the right turn lane requirements on the Sabal Palm by Prestige (012-MP-07). (Commission Districts 1 and 9)

ACTION:  (T-10:58 AM)  Approved per staff recommendations.

VOTE:  9-0.

Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances (The Broward County Land Development Code) requires changes to previously approved or recorded plats to be approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

Approves a modification to conditions of plat approval subject to staff recommendations and conditions assuring compliance with the standards and requirements of the Broward County Land Development Code.

THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will assure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

This plat is located on 119.0 acres on the southeast corner of Commercial Boulevard and Rock Island Road, in the City of Tamarac, is currently restricted to 434 single family detached units, an eight-acre park on Tract G and a 20,000 square foot fire station on Tract H. The applicant is requesting to waive staff’s recommendation for a northbound right turn lane on Rock Island Road at the 50-foot opening north of Commercial Boulevard. See attached Staff Report.
