Summary Explanation/Background
THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT, THE ACCOUNTING DIVISION AND THE LIBRARIES DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION. 

In accordance with procedures outlined in Volume 1 of the Administrative Code, Chapter 3, Part II, Section 3.10 - County Employee Travel, attached is a request for one County employee from the Libraries Division to travel to Calgary, Alberta, Canada to attend the 2019 Public Library Association (PLA) Board Meeting.

PLA is the largest association dedicated to supporting the unique and evolving needs of public library professionals.  Kelvin Watson, Libraries Division Director, is an elected Director at Large of the PLA Board of Directors.
