MOTION TO AUTHORIZE County Administrator to negotiate and execute a First Amendment to Regional Interlocal Agreement between Broward County and Broward Sheriff’s Office Providing for Cooperative Participation in a Regional Public Safety Intranet in substantially the form attached as Exhibit 1, subject to review by the County Attorney’s Office as to legal sufficiency.

The County and BSO entered into a Regional Interlocal Agreement providing for Cooperative Participation in a Regional Public Safety Intranet (“RILA”), dated February 26, 2013, that addressed cooperation and allocation of responsibilities and obligations for the regional public safety intranet. This agenda item authorizes the County Administrator to negotiate and execute a First Amendment to the BSO RILA in substantially the form attached as Exhibit 1, subject to review by the Office of the County Attorney as to legal sufficiency, to reflect updated allocation of responsibilities.
