Water Control District No. 2 Governing Board's approval is required for advisory board appointments pursuant to Broward County Code of Ordinances Section 36-14(b).

Summary Explanation/Background
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/WATER AND WASTEWATER SERVICES/WATER MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL.

Water Control District No. 2 serves portions of the Cities of Deerfield Beach and Pompano Beach and the Municipal Services District as shown in Exhibit 1. The three-person Water Control District No. 2 Advisory Board reviews budget development and implementation information developed by County staff and submits a recommended budget to the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.

The two-year term of Ms. Spivey on the Water Control District No. 2 Advisory Board is expiring. She has agreed to continue serving on the Advisory Board. It is recommended that she be reappointed pursuant to Broward County Code of Ordinances Section 36-14(b).

Mr. Saint-Eloi has submitted an application and resume as shown in Exhibit 2 to fill a vacancy created after Ms. Nancy Metayer's term expired on February 4, 2019. Ms. Metayer is not seeking reappointment. It is recommended that Mr. Saint-Eloi be appointed pursuant to Broward County Code of Ordinances Section 36-14(b).
