Requested Action
MOTION TO DIRECT Office of the County Attorney to draft an agreement with the City of Coral Springs to provide funds for the Martin Luther King, Jr., Scholarship Fund (“MLK Scholarship Fund”) in the amount of $5,000; and authorize the County Administrator to execute the agreement and take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions required to implement same. (Commissioner Udine)

Board approval is required prior to the County entering into the proposed agreement.

The MLK Scholarship Fund provides scholarship funds to financially deserving local students who, through their words and actions, embody the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s teachings on peace, racial harmony, and community service.

District 3 has excess budgeted office account funds that it would like to use to support the MLK Scholarship Fund.
