On December 12, 2017 (Item No. 17), the Board approved the Agreement between Broward County and JA. The Agreement resulted from Board direction during the September 26, 2017 Fiscal Year 2018 Budget Workshop. The Agreement provided for an initial term in the amount of $500,000 ($300,000 recurring funding and $200,000 non-recurring funding) with two one-year option periods.
On September 25, 2018, at the Fiscal Year 2019 Budget Hearing, the Board again allocated $200,000 non-recurring funds for Fiscal Year 2019. JA met all outcomes in Fiscal Year 2018.
The Amendment will be reviewed and approved by the Office of the County Attorney prior to execution.
The Office of Intergovernmental Affairs/Boards Section, in conjunction with the Office of the County Attorney, determined no conflict of interest waivers are required under Section 112.313(7)(a), Florida Statutes.
