The Florida Association of Counties (FAC) member counties hold district seats on the Board of Directors. Broward County holds four seats (Districts 32, 33, 34, and 35). When a County Commissioner resigns from the FAC Board of Directors or is no longer serving as a County Commissioner, a vacancy is created that must be filled by the Board of County Commissioners of the applicable district.
The vacancy created by former County Commissioner Chip LaMarca’s resignation from the Board of County Commissioners must be filled by no later than December 15, 2018. The Commissioner appointed will fill the vacancy for the remainder of the unexpired term, ending at the time of the FAC Annual Conference held on June 11-14, 2019, in Orange County. |
