MOTION TO DIRECT Office of the County Attorney to draft an agreement with Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program, Inc. (“Women of Tomorrow”), in the amount of $15,000, for the purpose of providing funds for mentoring and career-oriented field trips; and authorize the County Administrator to execute the agreement and take all necessary administrative and budget actions required to implement same. (Commissioner Sharief)

VOTE: 9-0.

Board approval is required prior to the County entering into the proposed agreement.

Enables County Commission District 8 to transfer funds to support the Women of Tomorrow’s mission.

The mission of Women of Tomorrow is to inspire, motivate, and empower at-risk young women to live up to their full potential through a unique mentoring program with highly accomplished professional women and scholarship opportunities. 
 
District 8 has excess budgeted office account funds that it would like to use to support the Women of Tomorrow’s mission.
