THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This action approves the Evaluation Committee’s recommendation of the final ranking of qualified firms.
This procurement was solicited to engage the services of a qualified and experienced firm to administer the Shared Ride and Limousine Service concession at Broward County’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (“FLL”).
On June 5, 2018 (Item No. 68), the Board approved Request for Proposals ("RFP") No. 2018-06-05-0-AV-03. The RFP was advertised and at the time of the opening deadline, 4:30 p.m. on August 13, 2018, two firms submitted proposals.
On September 10, 2018, at 9:00 a.m., an Initial Evaluation Committee meeting was held. At the Initial Evaluation Meeting, both firms were determined to be responsive and responsible to the RFP requirements and would proceed to final evaluation.
The Final Evaluation Committee meeting was held on October 1, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. After presentations, evaluation, and scoring, the Evaluation Committee named Yellow Airport Limousine Service, a Joint Venture of Tri County Transportation, Inc. and All Broward Services, Inc. (GO Airport Shuttle & Executive Car Service) as the first ranked firm (Exhibit 1).
The Evaluation Committee’s recommendation of ranking was posted on the Aviation Department's website from October 2, 2018 through October 8, 2018, which provided an opportunity for any aggrieved proposer to file a formal protest. There was no protest filed within this timeframe.
