Why Action is Necessary

Board of County Commissioners' approval is required to accept an interest in real property pursuant to Broward County Administrative Code, Section 6.23.

Provides Broward County with two 25-foot utility easements extending water and wastewater services to and from two privately-owned properties as part of Capital Project 9300-101195 for Septic Tank Elimination Area 3A-S.

Summary Explanation/Background

THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION/REAL PROPERTY SECTION AND WATER AND WASTEWATER SERVICES RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

Water and Wastewater Services desires two utility easements as part of its Capital Project 9300-101195 Septic Tank Elimination Area 3A-S. The project extends the existing gravity sewer system to provide service connection to the properties on SW 27th Avenue in Dania Beach currently using septic tanks for onsite sewage treatment. The easements provide for the construction, maintenance, repair, installation and rebuilding of water and wastewater mains for purposes for providing water supply service and collecting wastewater.

Motion A. The 25-foot utility easement is located along the western boundary of 4412 SW 27th Avenue in Dania Beach identified by Folio Number 5042-29-02-0152. The property is owned by Lawrence L. Bender and Kathleen M. Bender.

Motion B. The 25-foot utility easement is located along the western boundary of 4424 SW 27th Avenue in Dania Beach identified by Folio Number 5042-29-02-0160. The property is owned by Jack B. Blomquist and Marjory Ruppert.

All documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
