On November 6, 2018, voters overwhelmingly approved the Transportation Surtax ballot measure. This discussion item will allow us to move the process along and ensure speedy progress on the Oversight component. The Transportation Surtax Ordinance (“Ordinance”) provides for an Oversight Board comprised of members to be selected by the seven member Appointing Authority comprised of representatives from the Broward Workshop, Broward County Council of Chambers, Broward County Administrator, Florida Center for Environmental Studies at Florida Atlantic University, Urban League of Broward County, Hispanic Unity of Florida in Broward County, and Broward League of Cities. A discussion regarding the Ordinance will allow representatives from the Appointing Authority to be present, ask questions, and provide input regarding the process. |
