THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will assure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.
The applicant is requesting approval of a plat application to develop 327 mid-rise units and 10,000 square feet of commercial use on approximately 3.0 acres located at the northwest corner of Northeast 6 Street and Federal Highway, in the City of Pompano Beach. The proposed dwelling units were, as part of a previously adopted Broward County Land Use Plan amendment, subject to Policy 2.16.2 of the Broward County Land Use Plan (Amendment PC 17-1/PCT 17-1) regarding affordable housing and were found to satisfy the policy.
