THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS/BOARDS SECTION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM.

The Homeless Continuum of Care Board (HCOC) is composed of 28 voting/nonvoting members, including 19 members who are nominated by specific entities for approval by the Board of County Commissioners. One voting member category provides for a Broward Workshop representative to serve on the HCOC.

The following nominations have been received by the Human Services Department (HSD) for appointment to the HCOC pursuant to Section 12.153(a)4, Broward County Administrative Code:

Mr. Hudson was nominated by the Broward Workshop to serve on the HCOC on August 23, 2018. Mr. Armstrong was nominated by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance to serve on the HCOC on August 29, 2018. The County Attorney has determined that Mr. Hudson and Mr. Armstrong qualify for appointment (Exhibit 1 and Exhibit 2).
