MOTION TO NOTE FOR THE RECORD Actions taken by the County Administrator during the 2018 summer recess, June 13, 2018 through August 13, 2018, wherein the Board authorized the County Administrator to take procurement-related actions in connection with projects listed in Exhibit 1 on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.

ACTION:  (T-3:46 PM)  Approved.  (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)
 
VOTE: 9-0.

The County Administrator must provide notice to the Board of all actions taken during the Board of County Commissioners’ 2018 summer recess in accordance with Section 20.31.b.3. of the Broward County Administrative Code.

Authorized the County Administrator or the Director of Purchasing to take actions on behalf of the Board and ensured the continued process of on-going projects listed on Exhibit 1 during the 2018 summer recess.

THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATION AND THE PURCHASING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

Exhibit 1 lists the projects which required action to be taken over the 2018 summer recess. The projects listed under the “Administrative Approval Action During Summer Break” were time sensitive or critical to a project’s critical path; delegation to the County Administrator by the Board during the 2018 summer break (June 13, 2018 through August 13, 2018) ensured continuation of these projects.  Final action not taken on any projects listed will be submitted to the Board at a regular commission meeting.
