The Office of the County Auditor conducted an audit of the 2018 Renaissance Festival at Quiet Waters Park. Quiet Waters Park is operated by the Parks and Recreation Division. The Renaissance Festival is an independently organized event, which operates subject to the terms of the License and Concession Agreement between Broward County and Florida Renaissance Festival, Inc. Our audit objectives were to determine whether:
- All fees and monies due are paid to the County
- The vendor is in compliance with the terms of the Agreement
- Any opportunities for improvement exist.
We conclude that all fees and monies due have been paid to the County. Except as noted in this report, we conclude that the vendor is operating the event in compliance with the terms of the Agreement.
