THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE ANIMAL CARE AND ADOPTION DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTIONS.
The Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Division has been notified that the Division was listed as a beneficiary of a donation in the amount of $30,852 from the Constance J. Melodie-Hewes Declaration of Trust, u/a 12/13/2000 ("Trust"). Steven A. Sciarretta, P.A., as Trustee of the Trust, has gathered all the assets and has completed the final accounting. The Animal Care and Adoption Division has received a check in the amount of $30,852. These funds will be used to augment the life-saving programs of the Animal Care and Adoption Division.
Inherent in the motion is authorization for the County Administrator to take all administrative and budgetary actions required to implement the donation, including execution of the letter from Steven A. Sciarretta, P.A., agreeing to the distribution amount, waiving any further accounting of the Trust, and releasing the Trustee, Mr. Sciarretta, and the parties associated with the distribution of the Trust from liability. |
