THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS/BOARDS SECTION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM.

The Homeless Continuum of Care Board (HCOC) is composed of 29 voting/nonvoting members, including 20 members who are nominated by specific entities for approval by the Board of County Commissioners. One voting member category provides for an elected official or designee from the City of Hollywood to serve on the HCOC. 

The following nomination has been received by the Human Services Department (HSD) for appointment to the HCOC pursuant to Section 12.153(a)4, Broward County Administrative Code:

G. Steve Werthman nominated as the City of Hollywood designee from a municipality that is designated as U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds. The County Attorney has determined that Mr. Werthman qualifies for reappointment (see Exhibit 1).
