THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This action approves the Third Amendment to the Agreement extending the term one additional year through February 28, 2020.
On October 25, 2011 (Item No. 3), the Board approved the Agreement with CABOT II - FL2W01, LLC ("G&I") to authorize BCAD to occupy 32,812 square feet of office space for a term of five years commencing on March 1, 2012, with two one year options to extend. The Agreement authorized the Director of Aviation to exercise each extension.
On January 18, 2017, CABOT II - FL2W01, LLC advised BCAD that the property described in the Agreement was sold to G&I.
On April 12, 2017, the first one year option to extend the term of the Agreement through February 28, 2018, was entered into by the Director of Aviation as authorized pursuant to Section 3(b)(4) of the Agreement.
On November 16, 2017, the second and final year option to extend the term of the Agreement through February 28, 2019, was executed by the Director of Aviation as authorized pursuant to Section 3(b)(4).
This Third Amendment to extend the Agreement through February 28, 2020 is required in order to provide sufficient time to effectively prepare and efficiently relocate BCAD staff to their new office location in the Terminal 4 building.
