Approves the Evaluation Committee's recommendation of the final ranking of qualified firms.

This procurement was solicited to engage a qualified firm to provide design and construction services for the new FLL Welcome sign and Broward County Logo sign at Broward County's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

On December 5, 2017 (Item No. 53), the Board approved Request for Proposals (RFP) No. PNC2115316P1, FLL Welcome Sign and Broward County Logo Sign. The RFP was advertised and at the time of the opening deadline, 5:00 p.m. on February 7, 2018, four firms submitted proposals.

On April 11, 2018, an Initial Committee meeting was held. The Evaluation Committee determined that two of the four firms were both responsive and responsible to the RFP requirements and would proceed to final evaluation.

On May 2, 2018, a Final Evaluation Committee meeting was held. After presentations, evaluation, scoring and ranking, the Evaluation Committee named Hensel Phelps Construction Co. dba Hensel Phelps as the first-ranked firm (Exhibit 1).

The Evaluation Committee's proposed recommendation of ranking was posted on the Purchasing Division website from May 4, 2018 through May 8, 2018, which provided an opportunity for any proposer or interested party to present any new or additional information regarding the responsibility of the proposers. There was no additional information submitted within this timeframe.

The Evaluation Committee's final recommendation of ranking was posted on the Purchasing Division website from May 9, 2018 through May 15, 2018, which provided an opportunity for any aggrieved proposer to file a formal protest. There was no protest filed within this timeframe.
