THE PURCHASING DIVISION AND THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD) designated this project as reserved for certified Small Business Enterprises (SBE). The OESBD has reviewed the bids and determined that RK Cleaning Services, Inc. meets the eligibility criteria of the SBE Reserve Program (Exhibit 2).
The purpose of this contract is to provide window cleaning services for Broward County's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport terminals, concourses, Rental Car Center, Operations Control Center, and maintenance building.
Exhibit 3 is the User Concurrence from the Aviation Department for the subject procurement.
There are no vendor performance evaluations completed for RK Cleaning Services, Inc.
In accordance with the Living Wage Ordinance, No. 2008-45, as amended, Section 26-101 (f), these services are subject to the Living Wage. RK Cleaning Services, Inc. has committed to pay its workers at least the minimum requirements of the Living Wage Ordinance for the duration of this contract.
The Purchasing Division researched the prices submitted by the recommended bidder, RK Cleaning Services, Inc., and determined that the prices submitted are fair and reasonable in comparison to the previous Broward County contract, the second low SBE respondent, and internet research of other governmental contracts (Exhibit 4).
The amount referenced in this agenda has been rounded to the nearest whole dollar. Vendor payments will be based on the actual total bid amount. The bid tabulation reflects the actual amount of the award.
There is no protest or appeal filed regarding the procurement.
