Pursuant to Section 1-19(c)(5), Broward County Code of Ordinances, an elected official may not use the "staff or other resources of his or her governmental entity in the solicitation of charitable contributions" without prior approval by the Board. Importantly, this motion would permit the use of District 9 staff time and the County email system, but is not seeking authorization for any affirmative expenditure of public funds.
