Summary Explanation/Background
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL

Griffin Road at Bonaventure Boulevard is a County road in the Town of Southwest Ranches. The Town desires to install a town-entranceway sign within County right-of-way in the southern grassed shoulder of Griffin Road near Bonaventure Boulevard. The revocable license agreement will allow the Town to install the sign within County right-of-way and will obligate the Town to maintain the sign. The agreement also allows the County to terminate the agreement with or without cause at any time. If the agreement is terminated, the Town must remove all improvements within the licensed right-of-way and restore the property. The Town executed the agreement on September 13, 2017 and subsequently, provided all required documents to the County in January 2018, and this agreement is now ready for the Board of County Commissioners’ consideration.

This agreement has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney and the Risk Management Division.
